How do Hybrid Electric Vehicles Compare with All Electric Vehicles?

As I said before, I want to find out which all-electric car or other vehicle is best for me and my family? However, I can't help but notice the amount of hybrid (for example Toyota Prius, Hondas and loads of Lexus) cars around the place.

Are these any good when compared with all electric vehicles? I think I need to take a closer look and check out which best suits my family. I'll have a look at:

• What Hybrid Cars and other vehicles are on the market at the moment?
• How do all-electric and hybrid vehicles compare (hopefully I'll avoid too much science - for my sake)?
• Are there any that are right for me and my family?
